Talking TVR

TVR Protoypes - TVR 2

These are pictures of the oldest surviving TVR, the second ever to be built. It was made around 1950. The French headlamps are turn of the century, the speedometer is from a Spitfire fighter and the nickel silver fire extinguisher was made for an unknown Royal vehicle. Suspension was based on an Austin A40 and it had 1172cc engine. These pictures were taken at the Back Home 99 in Blackpool. If you get the chance to meet the owner Richard, if you ask him nicely he has a photo album charting the full restoration of the TVR2 from the chassis rebuild to the new aliminium body.
