Sky and TVR
Announce Exciting New Television Deal
TVR have gone the
same way as Premier League Football and Test Cricket and have announced today
that they have signed exclusively with Sky. Every single TVR race will be
covered by the satellite broadcasters in a programme titled the TVR Tuscan
Challenge. This will be broadcast prime-time on a Thursday evening in a half
hour programme dedicated to each race. These programmes will then be repeated
at least twice.
This programme will be different in that it will go
behind the scenes and give an in-depth profile of the drivers in the series.
Some of the great characters of National Motorsport are regulars in the series
and this will be an opportunity to learn more about these household names.
There will be more cameras, both trackside and onboard, as well as more
interviews and analysis from experts such as David Addison and Matt James.
Roger Moody, Head of Commercial Development of Sky Sports commented
yesterday, "Sky is delighted to have secured the exclusive rights to this
exciting U.K. race series. The Challenge has been featured on Sky Sports for
many years and has always been very popular. The new programmes reflect our
commitment to this series in particular and motor sport in general."
Ben Samuelson of TVR welcomed the news: "With 38 entries already
accepted for this year and this great news from Sky, the TVR Tuscan
Challenges twelfth season looks set to be a vintage one." |
